At Dakota Beef, we believe that it is important that all of our
organic beef be processed at our own facilities. This allows
us to control the quality and the safety of our beef and ensure that
we
can deliver the most tender and flavorful organic beef products
to our customers. In 2003, we acquired the first of three planned
processing facilities—this one in Howard, South Dakota. To
ensure the highest levels of customer service and safety, the
company is taking advantage of new processing technologies by investing
in
the highest quality, state-of-the-art equipment available to
deliver the safest and freshest organic beef products to consumers.
Our quality
assurance team at the plant has set strict standards for all
products and procedures that meet or surpass industry requirements. These rigid
sanitation requirements are maintained by our staff. In addition,
on-premises USDA-FSIS inspectors complement our quality assurance
staff.
We believe the recent expansion of our plant makes Dakota Beef the largest vertically-integrated
certified organic beef processor in the country. The plant is Certified Organic by International
Certification Services, Inc. and is USDA inspected. It now has the capacity to process more than
100 head of cattle a day. |
